@ChrisBaileyMusic The BMW weighs about as much as the polo, and has either a ~300hp 3,6 L in line 6 cylinder or a 400hp V8 engine - both came on the e34 M5. The polo on the other hand has a 300hp MAX 1.9 L turbo diesel (witch is VERY IMPRESSIVE). So either the cars have the same performance, or the BMW has more muscle. And let me tell you, it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get even 200hp out of that 1.9, let alone 300, and not have it blow it's pistons trough the cylinder head.

That was my fucking point but I missed it. @DrStoooopid Ohhh dont worry, i know plenty about diesels, especially volkswagen turbo diesels so you are barking up the wrong tree trying to call me out on this one. You can try to lecture me, but seeing as how I am an avid vw and audi enthusiast and regularly attend shows as my one and only hobby, there isnt a whole lot you can try to say to make me look stupid. Trying to throw info out about a diesel making more torque in the low end, HOLY SHIT WHAT A NEWS FLASH. i dont drive a tdi or ne thin

@bharvey2010 You really don't know much about diesels do you? A diesel is lower rev'd and has higher low-end torque. Petrol cars, conversely, are higher rev'd and make their power on the top end. That very same car (Bulijoe's TDI just so we know we're talking about the same vehicle) has run 10's in the 1/4 and smoked a Viper. It's all in how it's tuned and how a person drives it.

@kay19833 Ok dipshit, do you completly not understand the idea of turbo diesel? Lower power in exchange for far better gas mileage. Care to fill me, when TDI's became drag cars and therefor SHOULd have won? I'd say its a pretty damn good showing for a 1.9l TDI in a sub-compact car, now wouldnt you? And dont jump on me here for being a fan boy or w.e you assholes call each other now, I could care less the Polo lost, I just think your comment was a little misinformed and out of place, Peace
