  • Hello Grzegorz - this tune is super fab, fab, fab - swing. This arrangement is perfect for listening - but even better for dancing. Next to Tango - Swing is my big forte! I am just quoting some good dancers! Have a great day!

  • @tango3721 Hi Lana, I can imagine how good you must be also in shaq dances - they need the same artistry as tango!

  • glitz and glamor of the big apple....it seems to always swing. love the pics and the tune. it swings in a different way from ellington's , but it swings. like life: "give that rhythm everything you've got", and you've got the meaning of it all. thanks for the great moments.

  • @bill3murr Thanks Bill, I love this record. It shows what amazing progress Roger Wolfe Kahn's band - that sdtarted as a typical hotel dance orchestra, had made in a couple of years in the turn of 1920/30s - in becoming an excellent swing band. Pity, no chance was given to them to go farther.

  • It don't mean a thing - Love this song!

  • @wickirsinn Hello - and thanks!

  • You certainly post great stuff but TOO MUCH CORRECTION particularly with the treble ! I have most of these recordings in my personal collection and as a former studio tech in another life they are still played on expensive studio equipment with the good old GE VR II 3.0 stylus Very few sound this bright !

Just tone the correction down a bit ! But thanks for your efforts !

  • Good version of this wonderful song!

  • "This Thing Do Mean A Lot"... this an outstanding version!

  • I feel my brain exploding by heavy Deja-vu... but Twin Towers pic beats me to reality...

  • Wonderful music! GREAT post! I love it.

  • exellent music

  • WOW, I've heard a lot of versions of this famous tune, but I have to say this one is most unusual especially the vocal refrain with those train like whistles. I love it!! FAVS!!

  • @240252 Don't worry about it. At least it enhanced my English vocabulary. I wish, with all the other problems in life, people will not be so confrontational about a single word with multiple connotations. Cheers!
