@13berza I too would hope Mike finds time to demo his own stuff a bit more. Most clips of his gear don't do the pedals justice.
Just a couple of switches short in fact. The FD2 should be a bit costier than the Cat - and it is in the US, but not by very much. Then I think circuitry wise there's quite a lot going on in the Cat and due to its size we may tend to think of the Cat as a more simple pedal though it isn't.
Though it in deed sounds very fuzzy, in some way it's kind of that KT66 sound in a box, really. Very similar fat and powerfull 'clonk' to this pedal. No wonder my mind drifts off to late '60s British blues. This is clearly something I can see coming my pedal board's way.
I dig the Fulltone boxes. I do not have the Catalyst and I did not realzie it cleaned up so well, I thought it might be a little too buzzy for me. Everyone overgains the OCD for my tastes. I use the Fat Boost 3 before my OCD and high gains, I love the clean boost thick quality it adds. Just kills. Always on. The Fullltones morph with other pedals better than anything I have seen, rather uncanny.
Listen to the awesome sound as he repeates two sounds at 35.5 seconds........is that a slide he is using for those two notes? If so, is he hitting two high notes (two strings) simultaneously with the slide or a single string (you can also hear a simultaneous bass not played with the higher note or notes too if you listen carefully)? Or is he simply doing a unison bend here where he bends a note up to the pitch of another a not he is playing simultaneously?
Thats the tone I'm looking for.... SOLD!

@stratstringbender Sounds to me like hes using his thumb for the bass notes and just playing everything else normally.

hi, great sound !
how would you please compare the catalyst and the fulldrive 2 mosfet...
if the mosfet has "more" switches & so... why is the price here in europe the same?
is the catalyst more "boutique" build & sounding or it's just as kind of newer horse?
i couldn't find you playing the mosfet to compare ..
