The airframe materials only cost about $10!!! There will also be step by step video instructions to make the build super easy to follow.

Scratch built RC F-22 Raptor jet with twin 64mm GWS EDF ducted fan units. Designed by MikeysRC

There are a bunch of ducted fan jets out there most this size either have one ducted fan or two smaller 55mm EDF's. I wanted to build something with great thrust to weight ratio so it would climb completely vertical. I think I achieved that but need a little more testing to confirm.

The jet uses;
Twin GWS 64mm EDF units
2 4400kv brushless motors from hobby city
2 9 gram TowerPro servos from hobbycity
2 40 amp ESC speed controllers from hobby king
Ideal battery is 2 1300mAh 20 11.1V batteries. BUT 1250mAh - 1800mAh also worked.

Flight times range between 5-7 minuets depending on ho much of a speed freak you are =)

  • Thank you for the quick response :) will you be selling parts on you site anymore? If I'm going to be purchasing parts I'd like for you to at least make the profit with all the effort you've put into these planes/ tutorials

  • @svenop Thank you for the thought. I reccomend you get all the parts from hobbypartz (dot) com

  • What happened to the step by step videos for construction? Just found your channel and I'm loving the videos. I subscribed and I'm ready to build this thing! But those step by step vids would really help :)

  • @svenop Search my Ustream dot com channel for my F-22 video. I recorded one of my live shows where I showed how to make the plane. Also you can join my forum to get more help there. Happy building.

  • that is so fast!!! i just got done building one just know. but somehow I got 2 2200kv to fit in it. I will maiden it tomorrow. where is the best place to post it so u can check it out?

  • Did you get it figured out how to post it / inform me? I think so cuz I've watched a couple of your vids. Nice job BTW.

  • Thanks for the compliments. Yeah I use elevon mixing. And each servo controls one aileron AND one elevator. Pretty cool idea for who ever thought it up. It really helps do those tight maneuvers.

    This is a VERY easy plane to build. I can't wait to get the FREE PDF plans done so I can start to give them out to people.
