this is such a great video! the part where he says says "it's been an honor to serve you for the past eight years" and the crowd chants "four more years" always gets me.. you have to have nostalgic feelings hearing that after seven great seasons..

@althmanne As a liberal, I of course love the show's politics, but I love the way you see past that to the quality of the writing and craft of the show. Art does indeed reach beyond our politics and into the heart of our humanity.

They put so much wit, art, and significance into the series that even as conservative a Republican as I can call it one of my favorites.
Now, if they just had a little more ideological balance, it might have been the ideal political drama.

Arnold is such a badass

@bluesboy25000 ive always thought the same thing, one of the most subtle yet moving scenes in the series!

That little bit between Bartlet and Leo is so powerful. They say no words but they know this is all they worked for. Leo got him there and he now it was his turn,

@spiderbob Yes. I couldn't agree more. In fact, I read that Bartlet's MS was somewhat in reference to FDR's polio / or that Guillian Barre syndrome (whatever its name is)...
(and also the impeachment was in reference to Clinton but that made for good drama)

Through the 6th season of TWW, there was questions on if NBC would renew it for a 7th season. Exec Producer John Wells did a smart thing: He had the final season 6 episodes shot earlier than usual and showed them to the NBC brass before they made up their minds about the new season. NBC realized they'd HAVE to allow the election scenario play out, so they renewed for a 7th season, albeit with a reduced budget and a worse time slot ( 8 PM Sundays).

@gotmana We did. It was FDR.

When I first saw this in 2005, I noticed that Josh gave Donna a beer. I laughed and thought "Is he trying to get her drunk?" ;-)
What was awkward was the podium, where Santos had his wife, but poor Leo had no one. I always thought that there was similarities between picking Leo and George W. Bush picking Dick Cheney. Other that Cheney's 3 terms in the House in the 1980's, their backgrounds were very similar. Both had been Chiefs of Staff and cabinet secretaries.
FOUR MORE YEARS!
