A steamer is the only way to go when cooking rice.

  • lol... silly americans. they need machines for everything..

  • No wonder nobody gets good results. This guy has no clue as to how to cook Basmati. For one thing the rice needs a lot of pre-washing or it tastes like crap. This rice has to taste terrible with all the dirt and talc and odd flavors that are all over unwashed basmati.

  • Yes, this is good with a rice cooker. Pure and simple.

  • I got this machine today, so first time user, I have never had a positive experience cooking Basmati rice, and I almost came close to having a disaster today ( I hardly cook) so I didn't know water should go on top using this machine, I only put it on the bottom the way one does with veggies, seeing your video and an hour after cooking with just steam, I added water and it still came out perfect.. it really is fool proof.. thanks so much..

    peace

  • Bummer. Would loved to have seen the finished product.

  • I've never had good luck with basmati. I've given up and just use medium grain.

    Nice videos!
