  • Depends on: the marketability of the novel, the marketability and quantity of what you've written and published in the past, the publisher, the flux of the consumer market and your agents negotiating skills. Could range anywhere from $0 to $1,000,000,000 like J.K. Rowling. If you want to make money you have to be very good at guessing what other people want.
