A fan video to the song "Rattlin' Bones" by Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson. Video by Dustin Hurst and filmed by David Hurst featuring Danielle Smith, Scott Szymanski, and Benjamin Barton.
@daveyhurst .... that IS precisely why I think that's insulting to viewers. You assume because I don't want to accept the visual act of "dragging this bag of stones til they bury me down" for a worded metaphor that I am actually less understanding. Plus I'm a huge Kasey and Shane fan so I also have to point out when I see someone carrying a bag when the song specifically says dragging then the bag is obviously not (METAPHORICALLY) full of burdens nor survival essentials. But then what do I know?
@illusionsfan1 Sadly what I fear you fail to notice or understand is that the story that is shown here with the traveler with his bag holds a dual purpose. It is a metaphor for the obvious and also a necessary prop for the story. This can represent not only his burdens but also his survival essentials. It's a play on the lyric and the story.
@benbbarton (I pushed reply for the first part instead of post.) I was never insulting someone's opinion I didn't call them stupid, blind or wrong I merely pointed out the song is metaphorical and therefore the carrying of the bones makes less sense to me.
@benbbarton (continued) Perhaps because it IS metaphorical I feel the visual presence of the bag is unwarranted and perhaps even insinuates the idiocy of those who were to watch the video.... By this I mean if Kasey and Shane dragged a sack of stuff I would assume they think I'm stupid not to just know that the phrase is referring to the hardships of life.
good video

@illusionsfan1 Unfortunately you have missed the point of the story being told.

@illusionsfan1 The bag is also a metaphor in this video. Its a much more literal picture of ones burdens and sins.
