@Monkey Whether you like it or not, Vietnamese people have their own culture and history. Unless you are arguing that the country of Vietnam and the people have never existed, you are foolish. Was the culture influenced by China? Of course: due to both the history of Vietnam and its proximity. I'd say the opposite of what you say is true, though. Check out your local library or enroll in a history class and you'll see that we are not the ones re-writing history.
