I want to say thank you to POAC for yet again providing this to us for free!!! We attended this event last year, she seemed to like it to maybe try again this year, but this year was a different story. She seemed to be really enjoy it! This was the year she found out, if she kicks horse hard enough, horse moves faster, so of course what does a autistic girl who has no fear whatsoever continue to do, kick the horse more and more until the horse wants to go! She was having a blast although the horse, the staff and me included, were worried something was going to happen but we got under control thankfully! Overall it was fun, she literally flapped the entire time especially when she found out what makes the horse go :-)!

  • This is great! How are things going? Is she still banging her head? Have the doctors done anymore tests? She looks like she's having fun here. How awesome! You are doing such a great job with her!!

  • @CDFoakley She is having lots of seizure activity, on new meds, and having all new behaviors that is driving us all nuts. Her moods change in a split second, her strength is of 4 grown men, and starting to have new aggressive tendencies that leave us to wonder what now? We do a lot of autism events anything to get her out and about. Thanks for the comments!

  • Hang in there! I know there are LOTS of ups and downs, but you will get through all this. BE strong. Keep showing us all the progress, and yes, even the bad days, as we are ALL rooting for you and this precious girl!

  • I understand the mood fluctations. Just send you personal message re: suggestions to ask doctor. Example: Keppra can cause more behavioral issues, so may need adjunct therapy to counter balance, as in adding Lamictal or Topamax or clonazepam (klonipin). Ask doctor U need help NOW!

  • Horseback riding sounds like fun. She looks like she had a lot of fun
