Thanks for the kind comments! You're right: no dairy milk for parrots. If you look closely you'll see I'm making 2 cornbreads, one for humans (baked in the skillet, using buttermilk) & muffins for the macaws. The birds have the shells, vegetables, etc, & made with soy milk. But since that ingredient isn't shown, there'd be no way to know that from the film. In the book, the recipe for the muffins is "Macaw Muffins". Again, appreciate your close watching. Thanks!

Truly wonderful, and I'm going to look for the book. I logged on to find a cornbread recipe for my conure and quaker, and this was a delight. I have always cooked my own cornbread in an iron skillet exactly like that, so that was great too. *Squawk of delight*

John,am SO happy to be seen as a gift; "ecstatic prose"- extravagant compliment! I'm guessing you don't know abt my many changes 7 years ago, Nov. 30, 2000, on his usual bicycle ride, darling Ned was struck by a car, died. (I am so sorry to tell you like this). A huge series of changes followed. A happy life now, tho not remotely the one I thought I'd have, & rough getting here. "Here" : Vermont, past five years. I'm able to again feel fully in life & love. Warmly, cd
