Sorry, I somehow missed this. Your class must be over now, but, in case you are still interested, I'll tell you that I made the model with AC3D which is a very easy-to-use and inexpensive 3D modelling program. You could also try Google's Sketchup, which is easy and FREE. Models made with either one can be imported into Blink 3D (one version of which is free). Unfortunately, it was just announced a couple of days ago that Blink 3D has been discontinued.

Unfortunately, you can't try making such a thing using Blink 3D anymore, since that company has gone out of business. You could try Unity 3D, which is what I use now. They even offer a free version.
