#66: Prince of Darkness Movie Review 2/2

Welcome to another episode, this time I talk about the 1987 John Carpenter film "Prince of Darkness". The flick stars Jameson Parker, Victor Wong, Donald Pleasance, Alice Cooper, and Dennis Dun.

A professor, his studens, and a priest study an old cannister that houses an ancient, green liquid which has something eternal...something evil...and something that will bring Armageddon to their world.

I love it when John Carpenter sends me to the "shrink" for depression. He makes great bleak movies.

This is my favorite John Carpenter movie. I didn't think the scientific explanation or the re-telling of Christianity was confusing. I guess if you really really really believe in God, Jesus and the Devil, it may be tough to consider them saying anything other than the standard telling, but if you just view that kind of thing as a story, changing it to a "this is what really happened" approach is easy to accept.
