What a treat this was! We were standing on the St. Anthony Parkway bridge over Northtown yard in Minneapolis, MN and when I saw this coming I almost died. haha An all BN lashup (well, close enough)! They were doing some switching in the yard. Also note the CP train.

  • are ALL of the SD60M's being stored here?

  • @trainz675 Not sure...

  • This looks a lot like a scene from the Pentrex video "Hot Rails Through The Twin Cities". This video featured this same location for some neat action.

  • Yeah, it's an excellent spot to watch.

  • 1. A chick who loves trains 2. She knows more about them than most guys and 3. She films them for other railfans! There has to be a catch. She must be taken by some incredibly lucky guy! This is every railfans dream!

  • Lol, yes I have a boyfriend. He got me into railfanning and now I railfan waaaaay more than he does!

  • This was probably going to Wilmar. Some of the best lashups out of Northtown are the Wilmar-Northtown trains.

  • awesome shot! sounds great!

  • GO GREEN!!

  • I think FURX should stick to the original BN scheme instead of painting them light green and silver.

  • Nice!

  • thanks

  • @trainz675 no not all were some were stored in Galesburg, IL and some in Kansas City.

  • @SD457500 Nope the 7821 (now renumbered) is actually a Northtown Yard Pullout engine and those 3 (2 FURX and 1 switch engine) engines were lugos going to the T-yard. Those FURX engines got shipped out....
