The southeast in January, good temps and flowing water. Elk river falls in Elk Park NC has been on my list for a while, since its less than an hour from my house. The level was lower than perfect but i was determined. And of course the West Prong of the Little Pigeon, a classic which drains the highest peaks in the Appalachains, in the Smokey Mountain National Park.
