Calling all grommets and gremlins, this is your chance to meet your surfing heroes and get in the water with them for some tips and training. This is a great event for kids, and it's awesome that the biggest stars in surfing want to spend some time with the future generations of surfers and share their knowledge and let the kids ride their pro surfboards. The waves were bigger than normal, and there was a strong current pulling people towards the pier, but everyone stayed safe and had fun. The pros were in the ocean with kids as young as 5, pushing them into the waves and helping them get some good rides. You can learn more about the event at the Hurley website. It's a traveling show, so check and see if it's coming to a beach near you. They've done it in California, North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida, Virginia, and even on Lake Michigan. Pros participating in the Hurley Rip My Shred Stick Contest are Pat O'Connell, Rob Machado, Brett Simpson, Yadin Nicol, Ace Buchan, Timmy Curran, Conner Coffin, Evan Geiselman, Miguel Pupo, Michael Dunphy, Noah Snyder, Asher Nolan, Aamion Goodwin, Conin Herlihy, Brian Toth, and Oliver Kurtz. Thanks, guys. Co-sponsored by Spyder and H2O.
@phishst1cks Surfing is really hard to learn. It's great to see the pros volunteering their time to work with little kids who see them as heroes.
