cardinals return after hurricane Irene

Cardinal dad feeds baby cardinal (he's the one with the black beak). Just as the hurricane was leaving this morning, I put out some seeds. Within about 30 -45 seconds, the birds stopped by. There were some mourning doves too, but they were hogging all the seeds, so I scared them off. The winds were so bad during the hurricane, I didn't really think any birds (or trees) would survive it.

I'll post better quality footage later, once I can put the camera back outside.
