I just found my load master 2500 last night raped in a newspaper from aug 26,1987 i thought it got loast in the shuffel.its a little dirty but looks like it will clean up overall in good shape i took care of my things as a kid ;im going to get sum batterys latter and see if it still works???

Best..toy..ever! But yeah it broke easily. I had two, neither one lasted long but it was great while I had them. I never see them around. I am going to grab one of those Tonka ones which should be a rear loader but have the packing blade in the middle.

I would have to say no. The Loadmaster is made of a more rigid plastic which can crack easily. The motor and gear drives work well enough until the body is filled, but lack sufficient torque to really pack out. The sweep panel will stop against a wad of newspaper caught beneath its edge. The wheel gearbox wears out in a hurry (no axle shaft bushings).
There are a lot of weak points which really come out when it is "played" with. The best ever made for realism but should be mre robust
