4:40 "Springfield's the SHIT!" Then Pete gets carries away, "Springfield ROCKS...!" "Everything they make..." Then Pete starts to think. "I gotta stop saying rocks I sound like that fucking moron..." LOL "You know who I'm talking about..." Yeah you mean the guy who compares every handgun known to man, to the glock? Yeah we know that guy -_-

Hey Pete, what model is tat kimber? Dig the 2 tone look
-
You have come a long way bro. Congrats on your success.
-
The kimber is an officers frame with a commander slide. Normal officers guns have a 3.5" barrel, this barrel is 4.25".

Hey man, I wanted request your input on something.I have a High Standard (Armscor/Rock Island) 1911 GI.I chose it over the Springfield because it already had a flared ejection and stainless barrel (showing), the price was right ($430). NOW, I've decided I can't stand the GI sights.Researched and to send the slide to novak and have them machine, and install sights will be around $130. This won't be my only change.Question:Keep it and modify with parts, or sell and get the modern upgrade

Great video - very helpful recommendations. I'm glad someone else out there thinks Colts and Kimbers are overpriced.

Hey Pete. I am comtemplating the purchase of a new 1911 & I'd appreciate your feedback. Between the two. Either a Sig Sauer GSR 1911 .45 OR a Colt Series 80 rail gun Stainless. If you could purchase one or the other what would be your choice. Thank You Pete. Sincerely, JAMES.

Hi Pete.I would not even consider purchasing the Kimber as I learned with the tighter tolerances they have a tendency to break. On the SA GI Model - If you shoot this model regularly will you become proficient with using the low profile sights?? Or would it just be better to start out with a Colt Model considering the sights & flared ejection port? THX. Sincerely, JAMES.

accuracy wise its the shooter not the gun
-
good explanation, and you hit it on the nail. no gun is more accurate than the other. and prices is directly proportional to features. i did buy a kimber and tossed my mag and bought 2 WC-ETM mags. and since i bought it i haven't regretted my decision once. to me if your a true enthusiast you got to love them all for what they are. you can favor one over another but with out diversity it would be boring..

Pete, you are 100% correct about kimber.
