  • what can i say piano john but just fantastic the great man himself is looking down on you great cover as always.just love this song.

  • @paulallen34 Very glad you liked it, thanks. I hope JL would be pleased with it too. :-)

  • all of your tutorials are phenomenal and deserve the public's attention. Im just curious if you are a fan of pink floyd? I feel that Richard Wright (r.i.p.) is highly overlooked as a highly regarded pianist and i can tell your skills will serve him justice.

  • @greenscene1122 I really like Pink Floyd, although I don't play much of their stuff anymore for some reason. Richard Wright was an outstanding pianist, and really flew way under the radar. Not many people know who he is, but they'd notice if his piano parts were missing from the songs because they gave life to so many different pieces of theirs.

  • John, my man, haven't checked your vids out in a awhile. Been playing more guitar rather than piano. Glad to see you've gotten into the Lennon solo stuff. Lennon put his heart and soul into these songs and you do them justice, and then some. Gonna break the old Korg out and give a few of these a go. I love all his solo stuff, and i feel like a schmuck asking if your going to do anymore , bc you've already given so much. However, you thinking of doing "Isolation" of his first album? Classic song.

  • @jayrtheking Yeah, much of Lennon's solo stuff was more earnest and thought-out than his early Beatles compositions, and he used the piano a lot more. Many of his more complicated chords were on his first two solo albums.. great stuff. Isolation is on the list!

  • @pianojohn113 Glad to hear it John. Thank you for the timely response. Your by far the most accessible teacher on youtube. Cheers.

  • @trider23 lol, I'm losing it in many ways, but not quite yet on the piano. :-)

  • @pianojohn113 good thing....for a second i thought my fav piano teacher was losing it!!!

  • @trider23 Yes, it is played the way you noted on the first two passages, and it is done the way I showed it at the end.. on this demo, I play an abbreviated version, and the fill is the "end" version.
