I love when people complain about the long-black hair as being a staple of Asian horror movies. It has occurred to anyone that people (women?) in these places obviously have this kind of hair?

They live on places who are constantly prone to natural disasters (so, maybe water is a common concern or theme), hidden face for shock factor is self-explanatory (and abused) while the white clothes are mostly burial rags whose clear color are meant to fend off bad spirits. They're all cliches now.

Oh and also the Korean series "Whispering Corridors" is a good series too although it's not really scary to me.

Ugh copy cat movies are just annoying. However, the long hair thing has been a part of Japanese ghost stories forever. If you want a good horror movie about kids in school check out the Korean horror film "Death Bell." The second one is better to me though.
