Persona 4 Arena was probably my favorite fighting game of the past year but it hurts bad to say that because as good as it is, Skullgirls cannot be beaten when it comes to the amount of heart put into it. It's great in every way with the exception of there not being enough of it. I really hope they're able to expand upon it in the years to come. Mike Z, Mariel, Alex, and everyone else who worked on it did an amazing job.

Hurray, the creative team behind Skull Girls has risen from the ashes of the parent company that failed and burned down around them and they are going to keep developing DLC for the game. I'm sad I missed the fund raising campaign. Alex, Mariel and Mike Z are such talented people. It does my cynical heart good to see gifted people like this getting to finish the work they love.

I completely agree with her regarding the variety of women depiction in games, when feminist say that we want more things that just sexy designs it doesn't mean making ugly women, it also doesn't mean sexy girls are wrong. those are just ridiculous shortcut for other people to avoid adressing the lack of roles for women in games besides the eyecandy. Peacock is an awesome character without the need of being sexy or ugly, differs from the standard horglass figure without being fat, etc.

Man, I'm glad he mentioned Mecha Fetus because that's how I first found out about all this awesomeness. At first I thought they just doodled cool stuff, but then I heard they worked on the Scott Pilgrim game and then Kinuko became the lead animator on Skullgirls etc. With the PC port finally announced and Squigly being official DLC, I'm legitimately excited about the future of the game.

the greatest part about skullgirls is not only all the characters completely different and interesting, the mechanics of them all are sooooo different as well. you wont find your typical shoto character, and even though i play zangeif and that made cerebella an easy choice, cerebella isnt your typical grapple character either
