@wattiewatwat times have changed since walt and ray's days.
with the majority of todays animation being done in low budget programs such as flash (vs full feature handdrawn animations), showing that you technically know more than the next guy is just as beneficial as saying I know how to exhibit the 12 principles of animation.
Its all gonna help, so showcase as much as possible!!! not just that u can do 1 thing well.

According to Pixar's Human Resources page, having computer animation experience is helpful, but not necessary in getting hired there. Why? Because good animation skills are paramount. When they started their studio, they looked for good animators and artists, period. Computer skills can be learned. It's the artistry, performance and animation skills that are essential.

@McHugginsAnimation You are absolutely right. Digital art is still art. But your assertion that "anyone can draw, not everyone knows the software" Implies the computer skills are more important than art skills. Fact is art skills are a must, computer skills are a tool to increase your options. Ray Harryhausen and Walt Disney did ok without the computers don't you think?
