@GTBurns48215 Bob and Jack wrote the movie, but they spent a year writing it. Jack was on set of the Monkees show all 2nd season and went home with them, Jack traveled on their concert tours with them...and that is how Jack for the most part wrote the movie...he took the real lives of the Monkees and put his twist in to the movie he wrote!

Very metaphoric scene from the 1968 movie. The Schneider Rafelson & Nicholson team where going to take the cash from the Monkee's project and make Easy Rider.
