@foxmajik Although it's totally worth it.
-
@GameUrg the gas mileage just doesn't match the power and size. the smart should have a diesel
-
@ken060693 you also forgot the smart car is less expensive, less expensive to maintain, less expensive to insure, and doesnt have any batteries that have to be replaced after 4 years. Not to mention if something goes wrong in a prius... good luck.

@Mr1wd From 2009, second generation Fortwos were delivered with improved software that made automatic gear changes both smoother and faster than earlier models. The software, in the form of a free ECU upgrade was also made available for 2008 second generation cars, along with a new battery in certain cases

The car takes 10,000 hours to change gears.
-
@foxmajik My Fusion hybrid is much faster and gets better gas milage.
-
@astaschak except the smart car is less efficient than a prius and a whole lot less practical
-
@foxmajik and is 4 times less gay
-
i bed to differ... getting 19mpg city... so unless this POS gets 76mpg thats not true. plus i can have 4 people on board and i wont get crushed if i crash
shifts is not as THAT slow as people complained...sort like how long it would take to shift a conventional manual in normal driving

@Mr1wd No, it takes a LOT longer than that. Often it takes up to four seconds for a shift. And if you're moving at between 5 and 15MPH, the computer keeps yanking the transmission out of gear and dancing between first and second gear. I've nearly gotten into accidents several times because I'm stomping on the gas but the car won't move because it's busy jerking back and forth between gears like a confused twelve year old.

Wow, my GTO is 4 times faster to 60 mph.
1501HP 2 years ago
@1501HP It also uses four times as much gas.

Hmm ok, but it can be nice to know if the water temp is warm, before you put the pedal to the metal. An oil temp indicator would be even better.

The 2008 models use a Mitsubishi engine with an aluminum block, so it's ready to go nearly as soon as you start the engine.
