  • hi, i want to convert to a marine reef tank with coral not a f.o.w.l.r tank. i have a 110 ltr tank and im going to buy a protein skimmer, 3000ltr/h wave maker and 1 white 40w T5 tube light and 1 blue T5 tube. do you think that and some live rock would be ok for filteration a tank with 3-4 fish in?.. i live in leeds so your shop would be were i get the fish and corals from!... ollie

  • Hi Ollie,

as long as you have a protein skimmer (which you do ^_^) then live rock should be all you need. For a 110l tank you will need 11kg of live rock.

  • Hey there! I want to ask you somethng about lighting cuz i'm a bit confused. First, What is a PL lighting? 2nd. I've research a lot of topic abt using lighting in a reef aquarium and i found that corals need about 4-6 watts/ gal.. But my LFS said that a 9 watts PL lighting will provide enough light for a soft corals in my aquarium (7 gallon). Is it true? =)

  • SORRY! I accidentally removed your last comment when I meant to click reply!

    RE Plate Coral

I have heard that they will survive in lower light levels, but in our experience they do much better with much stronger lighting than can be provided in our nano tanks so we wouldn't recommend it.

  • @lilgain1 yes you can I had a gold fish and it lived with tropical fish for 7 years. It eventually died of old age. Bit goldfish are a very dirty fish, so u will need to so more water changes to keep it clean for your tropical fish unless u have other tropical fish that live in harsh water

  • hi i have a question....many people say you can put a goldfish with tropical fish....and many people say no....cuz different water tempeter and etc....but i read that goldfish can live under harh watre conditions...and they wat anything....so can a goldfish really live with tropical fish?

  • ohhhhh i can't wait to buy my fishes from there next time :)

  • This tipe of petshop its the reason that makes me wan't to go to the UK, here we have only one pet shop taht sells corals and marine fish, and only a few.

  • Wouldn't put any three inch Cichlids in an 80 lt tank. Lots of Corydoras and Tetras. Tiny fish but still VERY attractive.

  • Hi i just bought an aquarium for my girlfriend. I was just wondering what are some good fish that live in cold water?

  • How many 3 inch cichlids could i put in a 80 litre tank.
