@1blastman Well, after 2 years i still like John Campbell more.Sony Landreth is good too.

@680540 Campbell was awesome! His version of When the Levee Breaks is better than Zepplin's. He was an excellent slide guitarist - especially live. But Sonny is a little more innovative, but Campbell played like he made a deal with the devil and his time was coming. I was playing "Howling Mercy" when the power went out during Katrina - thought my time had come.........

decided to study slide guitar recently-- started with the master Robert Johnson, and was surprised at how little the art has developed since his 1937 recordings Was amazed to see my neighbor Sonny Landreth had actually done exactly that-- he has incorporated some very interesting techniques into the slide guitar --like RJ, he blends standard licks with his slide work, only he advances into killer electric solos --thanks for not sitting down and stroking your guitar like some kind of dog.

Try to find the acoustic version played on a resonator. It's one of my all-time favourite tracks - not been off my MP3 player for five years.

He really is. I've seen him with Haynes and Allman Bros in Portland, OR. It was concert of my life
