Thank you very much, posting for this record.

Thanks for the info. The copy of The Thrashers has to be Slim's, because I picked it up in the early 70s. The flip is "Jeannie". Just being from Slim's gives the record a certain mystique, if you can understand that. I've never seen The Videos on Mainline, so I was curious as to whether or not it was a boot, or whatever. Thanks for clearing that up, too.

There were 4 different pressings of this. The originals (the one I have shown here) are very rare. This was originally 78 only, but the owner put out a few hundred 45s about a month after the 78 was issued. You can tell if it's the rare press because the recorded music only takes up about a 3rd of the record (tiny grooves). The record was pressed again twice in the 60's, but the grooves are much larger. It was also issued on Candlelite. If you don't mind having a later press, it's out there

@PJDooWop As an L.A. collector, I don't really know that much about NYC reissues, etc. I have the Thrashers on Masons on red vinyl- which re-issue is this? Someone told me it was the last one. Can you straighten me out? Thanks! PS I also have The Videos, " Trickle Trickle" on Mainline. Do you know anything about this? East Coast records are sort of a mystery to us out here in La La Land. Thanks again.

Ok, I can straiten both out. If your red wax Mason's has much bigger print than mine, it was pressed by Slim Rose of Times Square Records about 1961. If the print is about the same as my copy shown in this video and is machine stamped, that's a reissue put out in the 80's I believe. That's an interesting copy because you generally don't see machine stamped reissues.
Mainline was partially owned by Jocko Henderson, as was Casino records. The Main Line issues of that were done in the early 60's

It's hard to put a price on something like this, because it's a low grade but it's very rare. I've seen one copy in a similar grade sell for $300, and I paid a little bit more for my copy. The book value on a mint copy is $1,800
