And yes, that makes some sense but it's not like it would have been unusual for him to play for the US, people in his situation play for the country they're born in all the time. @mericolosa this is a ridiculous comment. In soccer, you are where you learned how to play. He's an american, but his family is Italian. He probably grew up watching Italy play instead of USA because of his family, therefore he felt the blue jersey more than the white one. Too bad though, if he had some balls he could have sparked a pretty awesome revolution among kids in the United States.
