its a station wagon so it wouldn't sell in the US
-
Its not SUV, but just in case you get stuck don't worry about it.
-
Great car.
-
why are ppl keep winging about not coming to the US? If you want one, import one yourself! I'm sure there are lots of specialist out there who can help you slip it thru the net.

The Diesels in America have to pass very rigorous tests to allow diesels in here and that usually means manufacturers adding very expensive equipment to reduce emissions. I'm sure you can find a good article that will tell you more about that.
-
For example VW 1.4 TSI produces 160 bhp and averages 45 mpg.
Fiat 1.4 T-jet 150, 180-abarth bhp
Renault 1.4 TCE 130 bhp
PSA/BMW mini 1.6 THP - 150, 175, 218 bhp
^^ they average more than 40 mpg while having enough power for a small car so why would you want a diesel?
-
Because almost all people in Europe buy sedans such as Citroen C5 Hdi, VW Passat TDi, Audi A4-A8 with diesel engines.
But smaller cars, mainly hatchbacks have good fuel economy even with petrol engines and they need them because they feel more lively unlike heavy sedans which feel better with diesel engines that have massive torque.
You'd be MPG nerd to buy a small car with diesel. Actually, small turbocharged engines are now becoming popular.
-
Then why is it in europe over 50% of all cars sold are diesel? because they are more fuel efficient and get much better gas mileage, not to mention they have less emissions.
-
Big cars are better with diesel engines, no doubt about it. Especially for cruising on highway, diesel engines make gasoline engines look ridiculous.
But when it comes to smaller cars with small 1.2 - 1.6 litre engine displacements, the petrol is the way to go.
US should promote more sportswagan , it is way way better than the stupid gas sucker SUV .
