  • Ha! Back in the late 60's I did this same thing from the upper bunk post to a shelving unit and attached to my Hallicrafter's SW reciever. My sister was pissed when she found out where her Slinky went.

  • @rhblakeman I can imagine!

  • Sweet antenna! Show us the results! What radio do you have?

  • @KC8YOQ The radio at the time was a Grundig G5, now it is hooked up to a Hammarlund HQ-145X.

  • Cool!

  • That should do nicely....how's it working...are you pleased with the results? P.s happy new year...all the best and enjoy your radio : )

  • hi if you using a cb radio just incase remove the nails cause it will make the swr go up but if you just using it as sw receive it might be fine swr means standard wave ratio or rating

  • Your antenna video gave me the idea to use a slinky antenna for my own receivers. I am using a Grundig Satellit 750 and an Grundig G400A. Thanks for your posting and video. Bob, VE9EE in Canada.

  • @KD0NVX Nice great radio! Post a video of it and what you are hearing!

  • Pretty nice setup for an old man!
