This tutorial demonstrates how to copy the contents of a DVD movie to your hard drive using DVDFab, and then how to convert that movie to an iPod-friendly format using Handbrake. Please note that you should only be converting DVDs for personal use.

EDIT: I know that the paid and trial versions of DVDFab will rip it directly to an MP4 file, but this method is free and will work even after the trial part of DVDFab expires.

DVDFab HD Decrypter available here: http://www.dvdfab.com/hd-decrypter.htm
Handbrake available here: http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php

**Sorry for the crackling noises that appear on the video at some points; my built-in mic on my laptop does that when it records the "s" sound for some reason. I'll have to save up to get another mic.
