ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF SPOKEN TEXT
According to the old slovak legend, when God created Earth, he instructed his angels to spread the beauty to the most distant regions around the world. The youngest angel decided to take a shortcut over the high mountain range, however due to the heavy burden could not fly above, bumped to the sharp mountain peak and spilled all the splendour across the surrounding walleyes. That mountain peak is called Kriváň up to these days (lib. translation- „Crooked mountain- symbol of Slovak national sovereignty and protection of its historical identity).


Overtimes magical tales and legends, horror stories about wild beats kept people from invading deep carphatian forests. So It seems as the old magical spells are still giving affect, so if the High Tatras were wilderness frozen in time.
Slavic tribes always called this place as „Rock land, which originated in Proto-Slavic word „TATRY.
