The glasses are part of the persona. Some impersonators use them because they're very nervous and don't want to look people in the eye ... others wear them to cover a blemish on the face or even the wrong eye color. When I was performing on a regular basis, I would wear them for the first song and take them off -- unless the show was outside and it was sunny. I preferred not to fall. :)

Shades or no shades....darn great job!!! So many Elvis impersonators today are no good...we are losing out on what Elvis really sounded like and looked like.

why do tribute artist wear the damn shades...tis dude loks eough like hm not to wear them....Elvis never wore shades on stage

I saw Rick in 1980 in Edmonton. I now know him personally. Great talent, great tribute. I only wish you were still doing it.
