BMW is too heavy .....

I must go practice with my KLE myself. I have not been in the Atlantis sand dunes since 1998 when I took my beachbuggy there. Is it still open so one can just go and ride?

Great video footage by the assistant. This shows me, once again, that I'm probably better served by a lighter bike, like the F650GS, for off-road riding.
That sand looks almost as difficult as snow - perhaps worse.

The sand is nice and soft there at Atlantis.
Try getting your feet on the pegs before you open the throttle. This will cure your problem. Tyre pressure 0.8bar with a bead lock.
Leon Croukamp offers excellent sand riding training close to where you live...
HPN is baas.

@GertBecker7 I have discover the forward TT pegs makes things near impossible in the sand, but yes everything you say is right. I now have a rimlock fitted with footpegs in the right place. 1st is also to short to get going on, 2nd works best. That was my first time though.
