This is a taste of the documentary to come... the revolutionary dream of millions of people led by Hugo Chavez. This story explores the Bolivarian revolution through the eyes of an Australian Coral Wynter
and looking at more comments, what are you talking about beerget? while in the West governments are trying do scrap healthcare ande education as a social right, in Venezuela the government is implementing many of these services for the frst time ever including guaranteeing food security for the less well off with Mercal, Bicentenario, Pvdal y todos los demas? No puedes ver a tu propio pais? Can't you see you own country?
To beerget, I live in Venezuela and while there are sometimes shortages of some products, thanks to the hoarding and speculation of private companies trying to make a profit and put pressure on the state, what you have said is a wild exaggeration: milk (liquid), eggs, sugar, chicken and meat are all in plentiful supply, as are the vast majority of products!!!
For the people that think that the president is not enough honest, I just can say that not everything is as easy as we can imagine, is not just about to get in power and wait for all the problems to solve by magic...it's a process, a long one, to educate; to find the balance in economy and the ways they produced; to erradicate all the bad practices and corruption that has prevailed for years and years, still a long way to go but at least they're already walking...!
and why are you removing peoples comments and getting their accounts deleted from youtube when they speak against your ignorant tirade? A little bit of Chavez politics rubbing off on you well, obviously!
Wouldn't we all be so lucky!...Come to Venezuela and queue with us for milk, eggs, sugar..oh I forgot....no chicken or meat as well!just like Cuba.....so enjoy your Oz bbq and STFU!
if your Venezuelan Revolution is so great, what are you doing in Australia? you sound like a blood sucker to me!...I am sure you enjoy Medicare and great supplied supermarkets and a decent life, so what is this so called "Venezuelan Revolution" bringing?...: chaos, hunger, fear, things that you will never experience thanks to the "Lucky Country Australia".
@erutle1 This will soon end! Chavez is putting power and resources into the hands of the people for the first time in Venezuela, and you and your friends had better get used to it, or flee to Miami or somewhere (maybe Double Bay). Thanks for your highly informed opinion about how we funded and constructed this documentary, very clever.
Anglevert: Have you lived in the barrios of Venezuela like almost 20 million venezuelans have for many decades? If you had, you would know that the life of millions of venezuelans has positively changed since Chavez came to power! And yes, they have taken their destiny in their own hands and have decided democratically - by the power of the vote - who will lead the way into the future... Free health and education for all means a lot to many people that never had access to these basic rights.
You are obviously not seeing the reality of the situation.
What is the destiny that the people are taking into their own hands? There is no good or productive future for the Venezuelan 'pueblo'. All I can see is a black future for everyone.
Try to study the Venezuelan scenario from another perspective. It may disappoint you.
Just because it is called "Social Revolution" it doesn't mean is good. A charming president does not mean good or honest.
Long live president Chavez! Greetings from Poland :) Hope some day I will visit Venezuela :)
