All That We've Been Through. [Chapter 3 - Stomp On It.]

Wanna know the best way to ruin a moment like that? Well, I'll tell you. Your phone starts vibrating and when you take it out of your pocket and you see it's your dad,... Well, let's just say, some parents are party poopers. After I hung up the phone, we started walking towards where my dad was. Occasionally, he'd stop me and kiss me again. Right before we were in my dad's vision, he did it one more time. He hugged me then said. "I wish we made out."

"I'm sorry, I don't make out," I replied looking away from him.

"That's alright save it for someone special."

Phone vibrates again. "I gotta go." We turned the corner and Drew was sitting there reading the book we were reading in my English class. "Ew, you're actually reading that?"

"Well, I have nothing better to do," Drew replied in a snide tone.

"You have Mrs. Thorne too?" I asked, annoyed.

"Yeah, what's it to ya?"

"Geez, I was just asking." I looked down at the other end of the parking lot. "My dad is all the way down there."

"We'll walk you down there, won't we Drew?" Lucas turned looking at Drew who was putting his book away.

"Yeah, I guess" He got up and we walked down to the opposite end of the parking lot.

"Alright, your dad looks pissed. I'm not going to give you a hug, just go." Lucas said.

"He won't get mad at you. Watch, Drew give me a hug." I gave Drew a hug. "See you football noobs later." And I walked away into my car. An almost perfect day, if I do say so myself. I mean, my first serious high school crush kissed me. Life couldn't get any better, right?


The next day, Lucas and I barely talked the next day. We didn't even hang around each other, we just stayed away. Of course, I was confused about it. I mean, who wouldn't be? One day, you get kissed and the next, it's like you guys weren't even friends? But we did talk, once, during the entire school day. Just, once. "Hey Elliot, I think we might've moved too fast. I mean, we just met a few weeks ago and I don't think something like that should happen again. At least, not anytime soon."

Hey uhm, Lucas, do you just want me to rip out my heart so you can stomp on it some more? Thanks dude.

I saw him again later that night at the varsity football game. And what happened there, no girl would ever like to see. Never ever.
