  • @mattvanhugenstein - Not sure if you are deserve an answer on such an asstastic post but for anyone else out there who may be curious...

The point of any training is commiting your actions to muscle memory. The point of scanning after you shoot is so that you WILL do it when it counts. The instructor featured is not a sporting weekend type. When he shoots anything he practices as if his life depends on it. In his line of work, it does.

  • Ruger! Stop making such attractive, accurate and amazing guns! You are going to make me broke. :)

  • good vid i have one myself and love it to death, great gun.

  • thanx for the tips love this video hope i improve my groupings

  • Wow ! This guy has that thing under control ! When I shot a .40 that thing had quite the snap but this guy makes it look like a .22... NICE ganna try this at the range asap

  • He makes it look like he's shooting a rimfire! Seriously impressed!

  • The video is about the GUN, not the faces of the instructors. Freaking camera guy is all over the place when he needed to be focusing on the gun and hand placement.

  • @MaximGhost I think the elbows technique might be a technique learned from the compatition shooting arena. It's just a hunch and seems logical. I could be wrong. Compatition shooting, you aren't being shot back at.

  • I'm here to watch a SR40 being shot - my next purchase will be a .40 cal. I didn't come here for shooting techniques. That said, after replaying this vid 7 times, Greg from VATA Group is one highly motivated, badass instructor. I may not agree with his flared out elbows technique (gets you killed easily in paintball, which makes you wonder about what rapid fired real bullets would do coming at you), but it's a pure thrill watching a jedi knight of his craft show you how he does it.

  • The dude is like a yoga master for shooting. Awesome vid!

  • Just a great video, I'm using this technique with great success and getting more (deadly consistent) patterns in rapid fire. by the way I get the sweep or scan,,train to fight and fight like you trained,,excellent job. SR40c owner

  • @h8rzhate They just have! :-)
