  • This requires a power supply and removes the sensormatic supertags much faster, the ideal detacher for a busy checkout.

  • Reminds me of my days at Hollister

  • Believe me, the type of sensormatic hard tags, as shown in this video (and others) cannot be opened with a magnet, by all means feel free to try it for yourself!

Of course if you are able to open one of those tags (AS SHOWN) using any type of magnet, then you only need to post a video of you doing it!

if you do post such a video, then I will be only to happy to admit that I am wrong, BUT I will NOT be holding my breath! ;-)

  • k believe me you need a hook to undo these however the design of the is very simple and the reason a neodymium magnet wors is because there so powerful they actually rip up on the teeth with a pulling force of 200lbs which most security tags will release at 150lbs

  • The sensormatic as shown is a motor driven hook, look on youtube for that.

There is a magnet involved with this, it is used to trigger the thing, nothing more.

Take a magnet to this thing and trigger it, you will see the little bar come out and go back in, the motor running it is what you hear.

  • nah, i saw other ppls vids, you can undo those with magnets OR hooks.

  • @simdude2u: Sorry mate, but you are completely wrong! As a magnet no matter how big or strong will not work on the Sensormatic tag, as it is a mechanical spring loaded mechnisim.

To undo the tags shown in this video clip, you will need to get a Sensormatic Hook, just search Youtube for Vinipooh123!!! ;-)

  • @simdude2u, go get urself a strong neodymium magnet, works the same, but cheaper.

  • How much do these cost?

  • sighs..I need one of those right now

  • A thin curved piece of metal presses inside the tag to detach the metal pin so it can be removed. Counter sunks are magnetic.
