A pair of ACe's (EMD SD70ACe) haul an empty unit coal train west on the BNSF Mendota sub.

It appeared that some decent action was brewing on the Mendota sub. So I drove to Earville to catch it. And to document the progress of the replacement of the Earlville signal towers. About 10 trains ran by me in about four hours. I've chosen to post two. This is the first... showing the west signal bridge and the partial construction of its replacement.

MoW was causing single tracking through the Mendota area. This train had only a few miles to go to where it would be held for several hours. The first of at least three that would be held up, waiting to continue west.

I've edited out about two minutes of slow rolling, coal hopper sameness.
