Journalist and newsreader Mishal Husain (Pakistani origin) journeys through Mahatma Gandhi early years in India to the end of his controversial career in South Africa. This program is telecasted in BBC around Gandhi Jayanthi year 2009. It's one of the best and reasonable effort to find flaws in Gandhi.

  • This whole thing seems silly to me. Like, 'oooh, he may not have been a vegetarian when he was younger--*gasp*!' Even if that is true, the important thing is that he became one, na? I'm mean, he's just a human. 'Expose his flaws'? We all have flaws! Just because he wasn't perfect doesn't mean he should be picked apart in such a manner. The Pakistani tilt to this doc is unfair; someone impartial--neither Indian nor Pakistani--should have made this. It's very biased. I am disappoint, BBC. -_-

  • I've had a crush on Mishal for years.

  • @bhasinuscuscable

    Anna Hazare? xD

  • @papasitoman so did I, but she got married in 2006 and mom to 3 kids :)

  • Hi Mishal, nobody is a born Mahatma. Only a few get the sense very soon, like Siddhartha (Buddha). Most of them have to fight against the animal inside them for entire life. I believe Gandhiji had defeated his inside animal very early.

However, when time changes everybody (who has not defeated his inside animal) indulges into selfishness. It was Gandhiji and other leaders like him who gave the energy of fighting against British Raj. Not Dr. Ambedker or Mr. Jinha. They should have followed him.

  • so wht if he ate meat...so wht??

  • @papasitoman wel bro u r not the only one...i wonder shes married or wht??

  • oh she is a Pakistani, and raised in the ''great'' Britain. No wonder ek to karela uppar se neem chada.

  • HIndu's didnt regard him as a leader muslims didnt scs dint. Aliens did

  • gandhi was waay ahead of his time

  • It is not the reporters fault, she is trying to do the documentary to the best of her ability. IT is just the muslim mentality, they have always been like that always will. We can't be worried about that, we should concentrate on bettering ourselves, focus on yourself.

  • wtf whar documen is this?
