http://www.hankeaston.com This is an old blues standard and a song we would close the night with. Tonight Only was my 2nd real working band. It was a splinter group off of Terrestrial Bop. We worked a ton, all over Columbus, Ohio, but mostly on High Street. This video was recorded at Ruby Tuesdays on May 1, 1986. Hank Easton - guitar, Gary Arnold - vocals, Louie Tsamous - drums, Al Morgan - bass, Dave DeWitt - keys and Steve Willis - sax.

  • Awesome version-checked it out because I have a teen daughter named after this song. Great stuff!

  • Recently I was standing around with a few good friends... there's a pretty good chance we're in that crowd. His nieces were there, OSU students. They heard us talking about Bernies, The Distillery, Ruby's etc..... so I've forwarded these links so they can see and hear what Uncle Steve was enjoying back in the day.

  • I've seen all kinds of live acts, world renowned and locally know, huge venues and small. Sitting with friends in a small crowd listening to you guys play are some of my favorite memories, so I googled. Thinking maybe I would find an audio clip, archived article... "wonder what Hank's up to these days" kindof a thing. When I saw the video thumbnail of Cleveland Funk I couldn't believe it. Your time machine has arrived, click here.

  • Yep... I've played guitar and bass much of my life. I was fortunate to play out with some people older than me (not bars) when I was in high school. Never played out once I went to college. Time marches on, my daughter is ten and I think she has the gift. She want to play piano so we've been looking at digital keyboards. Walking through sam ash, the proverbial "kid in the candy store" brought so many memories. I looked at her thinking... are you the one? That will get me back into music?

  • @SSG1O1 Thanks man, that's the only reason I uploaded these tunes. Are Ruby's and Bernie's still around??

  • I always loved the nights when you'd just jam on and on with this.

  • One of my favorites!! Columbus wasn't the same after Tonight Only and The Hard Ensemble!
