  • I always liked this one because of the seats that you could lay down in and the way that he got a luxurious meal on the plane and the music they play in the background!

  • This ad is one of the best (Manhattan Landing was better) BA ads ever seen.

  • 'Like a lamb to the slaughter - gentlemen!'

    Brilliant.

  • It's actually from 1987.

  • Concorde wasn't a case of spending less time on aircraft due to comfort problems, but the general time benefits greatly overrides this.

  • I remember this one, I loved this!

  • Yes agree. Those seats are about the same as the new Premium Economy seats.

  • Compare this with today's club world! No wonder the rich opted for concorde if those seats are what they had to put up with to fly transtlantic...

  • "Red eyes" are the overnight flights. In this case, transatlantic flights from the East Coast of America in the evening that arrive in London early in the morning. As they are short flights, there is little time to sleep onboard. Most people are tired and jet-lagged on arrival and need a day or so to fully adjust to the change in time zone.

  • What does "on the red eye" mean here?
