Mercyful Fate - A Dangerous Meeting from the 1984 album "Don't Break the Oath"

Tonight the circle is meeting again
Who will be the first to fall in trance
In here nobody is sensing the rain
Tonight a spirit will glance

So as they're approaching ghostly hour
Seven people here are joining hands
They think they know the spirit to appear
Contact, the table starts to dance

Time is standing still
It's a dangerous meeting
They're gonna get themselves killed

Solo: Michael Denner

Tonight the circle is broken forever
Seven people dead within a trance
In here nobody is sensing the rain
Tonight seven souls are reaching Hell

Time was standing still
The meeting is over
Their journey is on

Oh, they should have known
Not to play with the powers of Hell

Some people have lost their way
Some people have lost their mind

  • Sonic perfection.

  • I wish more of the Newer Metal singers would copy King Diamond then all that growling cookie monster stuff. Ya I know not many can sing like Mr. Diamond but at least you can understand what he's saying. Only a couple of the cookie monster bands are understandable.

  • I listened this in LP back in 90´s and all songs are briliant.Majestic unholy danish Conspiracy.

  • Hail Satan to this fucking band.

  • @TheDretch I do consider that style singing I prefer the term growling over cookie monster myself but not everybody knows what I'm talking about unless I use cookie monster. There are people who do it well and other who don't, and like any thing that leads to sucsess it also lead to many bands that just jump on the latest trend. In the end the good bands will stay and the bad ones will be forgotten or rejects on some reality show. lol

  • @40scars lol...ok bro you're right. Not trying to hate...I take offense to "cookie Monster". You said "just that some bands use it because they can't find someone who can actually sing". Sorry dude but that's utterly ridiculous. How do you know this? What bands have only decided to use DM vocalists because they couldn't find someone who can sing? lol Perhaps to true metal heads we do consider that signing :) Not to mention tapping into the vibe of the music that requires that type.

  • @TheDretch Your thoughts are so well put together (sarcasm). I didn't say that all growling (cookie Monster) stuff is bad just that some bands use it because they can't find someone who can actually sing. There are many great band that use that style and do it well but to say there all good is stupid. Metal is a divers style with much variety. I've been a Metal Head sense the 70's if you don't agree with someone there no reason you have to demonize them we get enough hate as it is.
