@avocate201 I somewhat disagree. Chris was an extra frontman figure, but Geoff new how to talk to the media too. I have to admit though, Geoff has REALLY stepped up as frontman since Chris left and taken control. He leads the band now and he doesn't do a bad job of it. I miss Chris though. :(
The true talent of the Northwest was this band....before Nirvana....great writing....great harmonizing and best of all great songs. I know friends of mine whom I have introduced this band to them...and they just cant get enough....and they are not even big rockers.....they just love the sound. And what can you say about Scotty...one of the best drummers of all time.
You can tell from these old interview clips that Chris was always the most media-savvy member of the band and the one with the leadership skills. Geoff was quieter, and Michael and the other guys hardly ever said anything. Aside from being a great guitarist, songwriter, and back-up vocalist (who else can harmonize with Geoff like Chris?), Chris seemed to be the personality of the band. I hope he'll play with the band again soon!

I used to think Queensryche was a wimp hair metal band......that is, until I heard "Mindcrime" and then "Queen Of The Reich".
Now they're one of my favorite bands ever!

@Erikpc Because of the name, probably. Some of their fashion sense as well. ; ) Geoff was born in Stuttgart, so close enough... : )

Interesting that they are often over-looked out of all the talent that has come out of Seattle.
