My other video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBGsDlqTF0Q This is a rocket flare that is mainly used on the ocean as a distress signal. These rocket flares have a shelf life of around four years. Sometimes when they are expired they find their way into the pyrotechnic hobbyist community. The manufacture date on this particular one is August 2002 and the expiration date is January 2006. I purchased it for $10.00. I believe they are $40 to $50 new. I have used these a few times in my fireworks displays and find them just a general fun item. In this video I do a brief review of the device. It was raining when I photographed the firing and the video did not turn out as well as I had hoped. If anyone has more information on these please feel free to comment.

  • @JADENiscooler A comment from a guy that has a video called "Takin a Dump at 2 AM" yea you really got me that time.

  • where do u get them from in the uk

  • @CONNER3497 Check where they sell boating supplies in the UK. These are usually used in an emergency on the water.

  • i had the same one i found it online and i bought it they are prity cool and dave how does it have an expiry date?

  • As far as the expiratory date, like anything else it may deteriorate over time. Plus I feel the company that makes these knows you may go your whole boating life and never need to shoot these and have these things sitting for 30 years. Then they would only sell you one in a lifetime, now they can sell you one every five years. I have no problem shooting expired ones.
