In my opinion the best aspect of this game is it's dark theme and the option to level up your skill and store it and then level up another skill, seems great.
The 3 best things that Diablo had in my opinion were:
•Dark looking style of game.
•Item system that made you want to collect all items in the freaking game.
•Skills looked amazing and (on diablo 2) the skill tree was pretty awesome too..
And so far from what i've seen from PoE the only thing im not certain of is the item system. So cheer
To answer the first part of your question, My favorite aspect is the skill system in this game. It is truly massive in scope. I love they way they have designed a skill system that encourages players to build unique characters.
The main thing I would like to see from Diablo is a compelling story line. Hack and slash only go so far. But a good story makes it memorable and timeless. I hope to still want to play this game for years to come... just like Diablo.
My favorite aspect of the game by far is the active and passive skill system. The active skill system is very similar to FF7, which is one of my most favorite RPG skill systems of all time and I am super excited to mess around with support gems and modify my skills. The passive skill tree is massive and will allow for true customization and interesting specs, also reminds me of FFX. I would like to see PoE not have all the cookie cutter builds from Diablo 2.
My favorite aspect of the game so far is the different leagues that are coming, The hardcore style from Diablo 2. What I would like to see us the other leagues that Diablo 2 doesn't have being popular. Like the league that limits consumable use and short duration leagues that kick the lowest level off every 15 minutes. Sounds really fun and challenging!
My favorite part of the game is the vast amount of possibilities one has when building their characters due to the vast Skill System, and ability to wear just about any gear as long as their stats fit the requirements. This system gives players the ability to be a hybrid of just about anything they want to be, and that freedom I have is what truly makes me want to play this game. No game other than this can compete with the sheer amount of freedom players are given in building their characters!
I really like the combination of how skills and armor go together. The idea of putting skills in armor slots is very unique and I think it works out quiet well. As for things related to D, I didn't play it much but I would say more of a reason to pick up all the 'trash' that drops. I'm not interested in currency, but more of a way to use them to maybe upgrade other items.
