Things to Come (1936) tells the story of Everytown at the 1936 opening of a catastrophic world war. By 1970, after decades of conflict and the destruction of civil and political order, Everytown finds itself ruled by local warlords who battle each other for scarce resources. A group of scientists, in opposition to these war lords, secretly form a new society dedicated to global peace and technological progress.

Very interesting conversation these two have - the characters of The Boss and his wife are especially good.
Raymond Massey should've kept his giant black helmet on. That would've made him more intimidating to this petty warlord.

This is like a post-civilization, Mad Max, kind of science fiction story.

Check out the blond's coiffure @ 2:08; apparently hairstyling wasn't a lost skill in Post-Apocalyptic Everytown. :-)
