He got the Samsung TV home, hooked it up. Started playing COD, there was lag. Not caused by the game, but caused by the TV. Also there was a black dot right in the middle of the screen. So he retunred that. Got a Sony for $1 more and hasn't had an issue with that. Not I am not saying buy Sony, I am sure LG, JVC are just as good. But I happened to get Sony.
Meaning the guy didn’t return it because he wanted a bigger TV.. the TV just sucked. So I returned it that day and got a Sony. I even called Samsung before returning it to the store. They blamed my cable company. The Sony I got was the same size and the picture was 100% better. No washed out colors, not graininess.
Not long after that my Nephew went shopping for a new TV. I told him not to get Samsung. But he did, because his mom said not to get Sony because it's only a name.
Samsung is a horrible company. I bought a Samsung 32" TV from a local electronic store a while back, I got it for a little less the sticker price, because it was returned. The sales man said the man that returned it wanted a bigger TV. I got it home, hooked up my digital cable (HD BOX), my XBOX, and everything else. The picture was horrible. Most channels appeared washed out, and grainy. I switched over to the XBOX input and it was already named.
Push the Popup Menu button instead of Menu, it's the bottom right one and it works :) (bad wording from the movie yes) Stupid movie, yes the load times are long in this perticular case but the newer players are far better.
Can't blame blu ray because a shitty player met a shitty disc. I expect if you played the same disc on a PS3 it would load virtually instantly. Rag on the manufacturer for having such a terrible BD-J implementation. I'd add that there are plenty of DVD discs that have pointlessly annoying features such as unskippable trailers, annoying menu animations etc.
