On the New York City edition of "No Reservations," Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern visit Ali El Sayed's famous Kabab Cafe on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens, for a meal of sweetbreads, a puff at the hookah, and some chat about food and world politics. Ali upstages both of them and demonstrates why he's known as the "Mayor of Astoria."

  • If I wanted all the dishes Mustafa (hope i spelled that right) served to Anthony and Andrew in this video, what would I have to ask for when I arrived @ Kebab Cafe?

  • @rohontsiawaks First of all, the chef is named Ali. (Mustafa is his brother who has a separate restaurant down the street.) Second, all you need to do is ask Ali to serve you the same things he served Bourdain and Zimmern. He'll know what you mean, and I'm sure he'd be happy to as long as he has all the supplies on hand. (Oh, and say hi to him from Bill in Chicago!)

  • Where did you find a good copy of this episode? All the ones I've downloaded have an episode of bizarre foods running in between the commercials and the no reservations parts get cut short.

  • @LyghtningRyder I recorded this segment when it first aired.

  • whats the adress of this kebab cafe?

  • @ZobaK1 25-12 Steinway St., Astoria, NY 11103 (Astoria is in Queens in NYC)

  • ta oki ni nana 2y ana ti ibagbgana nga na,nag katawa ak gago...

  • @Microglia1 have fun with the disgraceful subway system of NYC.

  • 4:44 4:50 hahaha :D

  • @TheFamerville I get that your response was tongue-in-cheek, but this is actually a serious area of confusion for those who scorn the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle (and often for the hipster vegetarian themselves). Believing that the consumption of animals is morally wrong isn't about killing living things, it's about the suffering of conscious creatures. Whether causing conscious beings to suffer is right or wrong is an interesting question worth debate and certainly not a humorous topic.

  • Antohny Bourdain in a hot black leather lambskin blazer with two buttons and a breast pocket big enough to stash a pack of smokes.

  • 4:36 zimmern gets put in his place by the original

  • @jiffinbigles I wouldn't like seeing Andy get bullied every ep lol. Now I won't feel so bad when I see Anthony's wife bully him on No Reservations.

  • @williambrazzers that's exactly why lol and andrew zimmern is so nice so the combination is flawless!

  • @jiffinbigles Clearly Anthony Bourdain is too self centered to let Andrew Zimmern elaborate.

  • These guys should have a show together, it would be epic
